Ethical and Sustainable - The Right Way to Lingerie
Kelle’s Finery Intimate Apparel
By Marquez Rodriguez
Have you ever been so inspired by something that it just creates one of the most beautiful and inspiring works of art you could ever see? Well that’s exactly what happened to Kellie Kelly, Founder of Kelle’s Finery.
Kelle’s Finery is a lingerie brand that sources materials from an ethical and sustainable manufacturing company from Bali, Indonesia which lauded its LLC in 2022. At just the peak of Covid-19 in 2020, Kellie had a need to be creative and to spend time learning about the world of fashion and business.

Kelle's Finery started as a handmade garment brand, making masks, aprons, and scrunchies; the endeavor soon developed into a lingerie brand after noticing that something in the world did not seem right.
“I began drawing my lingerie designs after I noticed that the lingerie market wasn't as inclusive as it should be,” says Kellie Kelly. “While studying for my Bachelors of Science in Fashion Merchandising and Management at Southern New Hampshire University, I realized there was a calling for a rise in ethical and sustainable practices in the fashion industry.”
Using “bold colors, intricate shapes, and high fashion inspiration,” Kelle’s Finery stands out from other brands because they do not showcase the usual type of ethical and sustainable style most people think about when they hear those words. There is no need to switch your style to fit comfortability. Kelle’s Finery has garments that are meant to make you feel amazing in what you are wearing, whether you are in the bedroom or rocking it on a runway.
“Our goal is for our clients to feel empowered, beautiful, and ready to conquer the world.” With beauty and empowerment in mind, we want clothing to be ethical, and most importantly safe to wear. Kelle’s Finery uses only cotton gusset in all of their lingerie to promote body health. They also use Tencel and spandex for their Tencel underwear, which is perfect for anyone who might be prone to have UTI’s or might be an athlete.

“I'm pretty inspired by roman goddesses, romantic fantasy aesthetics, and victorian era clothing, so I tend to listen to more somber, ethereal music. It helps me clear my mind and watch an idea come to life in front of my very eyes.” says Kellie.
Kellie is the artist behind the company. She comes up with the designs and is really great at it. Her first design is actually her favorite project, because it immediately inspired her with encouragement from her husband. He convinced her to get them made because people would actually love the set, The Amelia and The Natasha sets. With the growth in success for her brand, she has also been able to collaborate and make amazing friendships with the people who she works with and partners with.
Kellies goals for the business included expansion to more plus size garments, creating an athletic line, and launching 3 more colors. She is also beginning to develop evening dresses for next year! As for her personal goals set for herself, she would like to focus on self care and spending time with her husband and friends. “2023 is all about self growth and love for myself and those around me,” says Kellie.

We wanted some advice from Kellie about what she would tell someone who was wanting to follow their dreams. “Don't ever give up on your dreams and surround yourself with people who want to see you succeed, just as much as you want to see them succeed.” Beautifully said. Kellie had major support from her friends and husband when creating Kelle’s Finery, and is amazing to see the growth that has come from Kellie pursuing her passion. You can expect more to come from Kelle’s Finery in the years to come, look out for new colors, new lines and more sizes!
