“Passionate, Kind and Confident:" An Interview with Priyanka Mishra

Priyanka Mishra is a model from Phoenix, AZ that not only cares about fashion and glamor, but appreciates the world and the importance that we have here as huban beings. For 5 years now, she has been showcasing her art in the style of modeling and fashion. From pageants to magazines, Priyanka is definitely one to look out for because she is always shocking her fans with her gorgeous outfits and inspiring humanitarian work.

Priyanka is originally from India and came to the United States in 2005. She moved to Phoenix from Oregon in 2020, ready to fight for those in need and to dive deep into the world of modeling. With modeling, she was seeking an outlet where she can show her beauty and confidence (and most importantly do what she loves).

Priyanka views herself as a person and as an artist. “I always try to be my authentic self and push myself to try new things and pursue new opportunities.” Priyanka does not like to change who she is to fit into any category for anyone. She lives her life as her most authentic self. In the modeling community, it is very important to show who you really are, as that is what it takes to make you the most confident in your skin. This is something that Priyanka loves about her community — no matter who you are, you will be treated kindly by one another and encouraged to be yourself.
Another thing Priyanka deeply appreciates about the modeling community is that she gets to connect with so many different people that love the same thing, but also have the opportunity to learn and grow from each other. We wanted to know how Priyanka felt about art in general and how it can change the world and this was her response:
“I think art can be used to show emotions and feelings we can’t express in words. Art will change the world by helping others express themselves. It can help unite people all around the world.”
There are many mediums of art people are able to use to express themselves. Creating art and connecting to art is a beautiful way to evoke connection and compassion. In Priyanka’s case, we can see who she is because of her expression through fashion and in her modeling talents. “I don't do fashion. I am fashion— because the joy of dressing is an art.” It is inspiring to see how she encourages others to be their most authentic self by doing what she loves.
To stay motivated, Priyanka likes to wake up early to start her day. This helps her become more organized and hit deadlines in a timely manner. She also likes to spend time with the wonderful and inspiring people she has in her life. She credits her support system for positively influencing her everyday, inspiring her to be her best artistic self.
Priyanka also likes to write poems and stories. She enjoyes her writing as inspiration for the styling and technique in her work. “I often take pieces of my poetry and stories and put them into characters, or real life experiences. I enjoy all kind of fashion where I can shows my art by way of styling myself which tells a story of joy, sorrow, struggle, stress, achievements.”
Although Pryanka is a well-established model, she never forgets about the importance of her community.”It is hard not to be inspired and influenced by such talented and lovely people,” says Priyanka.

No matter how busy Priyanka is with her work, fans can always expect something new from her in the future. Expect more exciting projects and collaborations with other creatives from this gorgeous model. Priyanka is also working with more nonprofit groups, such as the World Food Bank Organization and The Salvation Army Mesa Corps, to make a difference in the world and a difference in people's hearts. Although we can enjoy the beautiful creations Priyanka creates with her beaty and fashion, she inspires her fans more and more by loving her community and giving back to the people.
