In a world where creativity knows no bounds, we often find ourselves captivated by the stories and experiences of artists who dare to see the world through a different lens. Logan is self-described as observant, coachable, and goal oriented; stating, “I’ve always been someone who wanted more for myself. I want to achieve big things with photography. I want a family. I want to achieve a high level of success both financially and spiritually. As an artist, my favorite thing is the gift to see the beauty in the world and be able to capture it.”
Logan’s journey began in 2013, when he found himself on vacation with two of his best friends, both of whom are photographers. As they strolled along the beach during that summer getaway, observing his friends snapping photos and forging connections over their shared passion, Logan became overwhelmed with inspiration. Witnessing the captivating images captured by his friends and seeing how they bonded during the creative process ignited a desire within him to embark on his own photographic journey. Shortly thereafter, Logan purchased a camera and began immersing himself in the art form. He started by capturing the natural beauty and urban landscapes of their hometown, Seattle. From those humble beginnings, Logan’s love for photography blossomed and continued to evolve over time.

Throughout his journey, Logan has learned a great deal about photography. Regarding the biggest lessons he has learned over the years and wants to share with other artists who are just starting out, he shares, “Follow the path because you love it, not because you want to make money by doing it. Also, it’s okay to take breaks– like long periods, [even] months. I honestly used to get down on myself if I hadn’t touched my camera in a long time, but as I’ve grown in life and as an artist, I kind of love breaks. Because when I come back to it, I find that my creative side has a new perspective, and allows me to create new art that’s better than before my break.” After working for an extended period of time dedicated to business aspects of his career, Logan hopes to reconnect with personal endeavors. He envisions immersing himself in the art of film photography, a passion he says he has currently put on hold. He yearns for leisurely strolls, camera in hand, capturing moments that resonate with his distinct perspective and evoke the timeless allure of analog film.
Along the way, Logan has gained important perspectives as an artist. He has also faced certain challenges. Social media is one of these challenges, as he shares, “I am not a fan. It’s unfortunate that in order to become a bigger well known artist (and eventually when you want to make money from your art), you have to go hard on social media. But I just don’t like the thought of being wrapped up in it and needing to share my photos all the time to stay relevant and keep a good algorithm for people to notice my work.” Logan’s feeling about social media is echoed by many other photographers and artists of our generation.

As we delved deeper into Logan's current endeavors and his aspirations as an artist, he shared with us his exciting new venture, a collaborative business endeavor with two close friends. The concept is a media agency called “Shutter Boys,” which will provide video and photography services for small businesses and brands who are struggling to keep a professional, aesthetically pleasing online presence.
Logan also shared that he is fortunate to be surrounded by a network of supportive individuals, including close friends, loving family members, and a devoted girlfriend. While their encouragement and presence in his life are invaluable, he says he has always had a strong sense of self-reliance. He prides himself in his ability to navigate challenges independently and to find solutions for obstacles that may arise along his journey. However, the unwavering support of his friends and family serves as a constant source of strength and motivation, empowering him to pursue his goals with confidence and determination.
The realization that one's creations endure beyond a lifetime is a profound insight that has deeply resonated with Logan. In a world where legacies often fade with time, the permanence of artistic expression stands as a testament to the artist's enduring impact on the world. While many may leave behind only fleeting memories, Logan finds solace in the knowledge that his and other artists’ photographs will endure, serving as timeless windows into the beauty and essence of life. Each image captured holds the potential to transcend generations, offering future audiences a glimpse into the emotions, narratives, and landscapes of the past. It is a reminder of the immortality found within the frames of art; a legacy that surpasses the constraints of mortality and continues to inspire and resonate with audiences long after the artist has departed.
Logan embodies the spirit of resilience, creativity, and determination, serving as an inspiration for aspiring artists and entrepreneurs alike. As he continues to carve his path in the world of photography and media, one thing remains certain — his journey is one worth following, capturing moments that transcend time and space, leaving an indelible mark on the canvas of life.
