Today's state of politics in the United States is in dismay. We have extreme corruption and greed plaguing our elected officials to the point where they no longer represent the people. Issues are not being taken care of and we are regressing as a country.

In the last two years hate and division have run rampant in this country. People's fears have been used against them through constant media hype and technological breakthroughs. We didn't used to talk politics with our neighbors, but now we throw them out there for all to see through social media. Science and the environment are being ignored and our EPA is being run by oil swamp monsters. We are not leaving the children and grandchildren of this great nation with basic necessities of life like clean water and air.

The world is watching what we are doing and they do not approve. America needs to be fixed, it has been building up for a long time now, but we are reaching the tip of the iceberg. I am optimistic that we will see better days, but now is not the time for Americans to be lethargic and it is time that we rise and speak up for our rights as Americans.
